This is all I can manage for now: the Reader's Digest version. Our flight was delayed in Chicago an hour because of the storm. We made it to Heathrow but couldn't find which of the 100 or so gates to go to. The sign kept flashing: Please wait. We got tired of waiting so Mrs. Frank asked for help. We made it to our connecting flight and picked up all of our baggage...well, except for Hannah and Abby! They will (hopefully) be sending them to our hotel tomorrow, as they were still in London! We met Guy, our guide and boarded the coach bus for the 45 minute drive through heavy traffic and tunnels to our hotel. It's really nice, but we had some challenges. You have to put the key card in the elevator to get it to work. You also have to have the key card in a socket in the wall in order for your lights to work. The window shades were also a challenge, but not insurmountable. We grabbed a light lunch at the cafe in the hotel then took a walking tour of Madrid, maps in hand. We saw incredible architecture, human statues, various instruments, and many stores. We then relaxed a bit before dinner. This food was melt-in-your-mouth-delicious! Everyone then settled down for a nice long sleep to recharge for tomorrow. See you then!
P.S. If you can't get the slide show to work, you might need a newer version of Windows Media Player.
